Red Square in winter is a breathtaking sight. The iconic cobblestones are often dusted with snow, creating a serene backdrop for the stunning architecture of the Kremlin and St. Basil's Cathedral. The colorful onion domes of St. Basil’s stand out against the white landscape, making it a photographer's paradise.
In winter, the square often features a festive atmosphere with holiday markets, twinkling lights, and ice skating rinks, attracting both locals and tourists. The crisp air and the warm glow from nearby cafes add to the charm, making it a perfect spot to soak in the beauty of Moscow during the colder months. The Red Square Christmas market is set around one of Moscow’s largest ice rinks and surrounded by the imposing walls of the Kremlin, the colorful St Basil’s Cathedral and famous GUM shopping center.
This is the main Christmas market in Moscow, where you can enjoy pleasant and nice atmosphere of New Year, buy different traditional Russian presents and taste many types of traditional Russian food and drinks. The entertainment program will include performances from actors, dancers and animators. For our little guests, the market will have open air playgrounds with attractions, ice slides and ice rinks.
