    Roberto, expat in Russia: GREAT NORTHERN LIGHT EXPERIENCE IN MURMANSK AND KOLA PENINSULA

    Excellent experience in Murmansk and Kola peninsula for 5 days and 4 nights. We managed to see the Northers Light in 2 different nights, all the beauty of the region and all the possible experience (Husky, Reindeer, snow mobile, ice fishing, Teriberka, banya, etc..). A wonderful experience that I suggest to everybody. Irina, our consultant from Discovery Russia, was very helpful, in organizing the tour in line with our needs and requests. The on-site guide was very professional and always available providing us all the information and details. In 4 nights we spent night in 3 hotels but the logistic was well organized. Great experience.

    ➤Thermo underwear (NO COTTON, WOOL is the best);

    ➤Insulating clothing (fleece, wool, down or synthetic insulator like Primaloft or similar);

    ➤Hard-shell clothing (wind and waterproof) to protect you from the wind and snow;

    ➤Extra insulating clothing (down jacket with hood) for Aurora hunting. You will stay outside with temperatures from -5 to -37 a lot of time.

    ➤Gloves or mittens (NO LEATHER) fleece or other insulator. It is smart idea to take thin gloves and down mittens. You can combine it and that would be best protection for your fingers.

    ➤Hat (covering your ears) made from fleece or wool or acrylic.

    ➤Scarf (NO SILK, WOOL is the best) or snood

    ➤Socks (NO COTTON, WOOL is the best).

    ➤Snow boots (NO HEELS, NO SNEAKERS) Better with synthetic insulator.

    ➤Chapstick to protect your lips from the frost.

    ➤ Flash drives, batteries, chargers, a torch
