Congratulations! You have just reached the world’s top wildlife photography destination! Arrival at Elizovo airport (Petropavlovks-Kamchatsky) IATA: PKC, ICAO: UHPP. Transfer to port. On the way we will visit a local highlight—a fresh fish market—and we’ll make a short tour around the town of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Boarding our vessel, meeting the crew, safety briefing and rules. The adventure begins!
Sailing to the Commander Islands give us a rare opportunity to encounter the pure wilderness of this region and explore its fabulous nature. The Commanders are exotic, unique and not easily accessible; the natural habitat of its many wild flora and fauna is very well preserved. The Commander Islands are named after the Commander Vitus Bering, the famous Danish sailor who also gave his name to the Bering Strait; it should come as no surprise that we can find the grave of this great sailor on Bering Island! The Commanders is a mix of Russian and Aleutian cultures.
