We will be greeted according to ancient traditions, with “bread and salt”.
We will then try a real Russian troika ride. After lunch at a restaurant serving local specialities we will make our first Russian handmade souvenir at a potter's master-class and then drive a further 2 hours through an amazing snow-white landscape to our next destination, Golubino (150 km). Accommodation is modest here.
Our tour will introduce you to the northern Russian wooden architecture of the seventeenth to the nineteenth centuries, from churches and tower bells to windmills and residential houses. The museum’s collection is the richest in the Russian North.
